Hot Water Services - Solar Heat Pump
A Quantum heat pump is a patented system whereby heat
from the ambient air is absorbed by an environmentally friendly refrigerant
in the evaporator. This refrigerant gas is then compressed which causes
the gas’s temperature and pressure to be raised. This hot gas
is passed through tubes wrapped around the outside of the water tank
as the condensor. Heat is then transferred from the tubes to the water
inside the tank.
Once the heat from the compressed gas has been transferred
to the water in the tank, the gas changes state as it has transferred
it's heat to water. This cooled gas then passes through an expansion
device (TX valve) and back to the evaporator. The cycle is then repeated
until the water in the storage tank reaches the set temperature.
The Quantum heat pump’s efficiency stems from the
fact that only minimal electricity is required for the compressor, fan
and digital display panel. It works in temperatures from as low as -10°C
up to 40°C both day and night very efficiently without the need
for boosting, and only Quantum can do that!
The Heat Pump principle is simple and can be compared
to a refrigerator, but in reverse. It extracts latent energy from the
air and transfers it to the heating system. This free energy from the
environment is converted into useful heat to heat water.
In other words, you are using free energy from the environment
that doesn’t cost a cent, and at the same time reducing your carbon
footprint.

Advantages
of Installing a Quantum
Quantum systems have been used for over 30 years to provide hot water
for domestic, commercial, industrial, swimming pool and space heating
purposes. Manufactured by the leading innovator in the industry, this
revolutionary piece of technology is being adopted by more and more
homes and businesses everywhere! What do they know that you don’t
yet? Installing a Quantum hot water system just makes perfect sense!
Here's Why.....
Saves Energy...
Uses up to 75% less energy than traditional electric hot water systems.
Does not require direct sunlight in order to operate. Due to its patented
advanced design the Quantum system will produce hot water in all weather
conditions, from -10°C up to 40°C, even at night. It simply
absorbs heat energy from the environment – from thin air!
Saves Money...
Due to State and Federal Government rebates encouraging more and more
homes and businesses to switch to solar energy – Quantum heat
pumps are now available for around the same price of an electric or
gas hot water system. Call us now to find out what rebates YOU are entitled
to! 1800 644 705
Heating water is the leading contributor to your home energy bill. By
installing a Quantum heat pump you can expect to enjoy up to a 75% reduction
in your hot water running costs. For most families this means that the
initial cost (if any) is paid back in savings within the year.
Reduces Your Carbon Footprint...
The Quantum heat pump absorbs energy from a renewable and free energy
source – The Sun. With only minimal amounts of electricity required
to operate, installing a Quantum makes perfect sense in the fight to
reduce your carbon footprint and reduce global warming.
Heating water is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the
home. Quantum systems use significantly less energy, (approximately
75% less then traditional electric hot water heaters), therefore dramatically
reduces the amount of greenhouse gasses produced.
Tremendous Efficiency...
The Quantum heat pump works in temperatures as low as -10°C and
up to 40+°C, day and night without the need for boosting, and only
a Quantum can do that!
The COP (Coefficient of Performance) of a Quantum heat pump is 325%
at
20 C. This is compared to an average electric hot water system’s
COP of less than 100%. What this really means is that the Quantum unit
consumes much less energy to achieve the same output of power.
Easy to Install...
As easy to install as a conventional electric system. There is no need
for complicated or expensive “special plumbing” work to
be carried out.
No solar panels are required. The unit is installed at ground level,
not on the roof, thereby not imposing any large additional weight on
the roof.
The unit can be installed in less than two hours!

Quantum
Solar vs Conventional Solar
Quantum Offers All the Advantages of a Conventional Flat Plate Solar
Water Heater - but its available 24 hours a day - rain, hail or shine!
If you’ve already made the decision to switch to
solar energy then there is just one more decisions to be made –
Quantum heat pump or conventional Flat Plate solar system? Listed below
are just some of the differences between a Quantum heat pump and a conventional
Flat Plate Solar system, which shows Quantum as offering many attractive
advantages.
Solar Requirements
The Quantum heat pump does not rely on direct sunlight for
its operation. Due to its advanced design the unit will produce hot
water in all weather conditions, even at night; it simply absorbs heat
energy from the environment.
The Quantum Compact can be located in any external location
around the building. It definitely does not need to "face north"
in order collect solar energy like conventional Flat Plate Solar units.
Aesthetics...
As the Quantumheat pump does not use any panels it cannot be damaged
by heavy hail, as the glass panels of a conventional Flat Plate solar
hot water system often can be.
The Quantum hot water storage tank is installed at ground level, thereby
providing ease of maintenance and not imposing any additional weight
on the roof.
With a Quantum heat pump there is no need for those unsightly frames,
which tilt the collectors to the required vertical angles as conventional
Solar Flat Plate solar require.
Durability...
In cold climates some Flat Plate Solar collectors suffer severe damage
from frost. Because the Quantum Compact has no panels there is absolutely
no risk of damage from freezing.
The evaporator coil on the Quantum Compact is specially coated to protect
it from corrosion, which helps to keep your Quantum running at peak
efficiency over its long operational life.
Costs...
The Quantum heat pump has no gas or electric "booster
element" in the tank as required in conventional Flat Plate Solar
units. The low cost of running the compressor in a Quantum, means that
the heat pump can actually be more economical to run than a conventional
Flat Plate Solar water heater.
As the Quantum does not require roof panels to be installed, the installation
process is far less costly and time consuming.
